SELLER DESCRIPTION

2004 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey Deck Saloon, I am the original owner of Happy Destiny. She has never been chartered. I've added lots of equipment to ensure safe, comfortable coastal or blue water passage-making. The sail system is flexible and will handle a wide range of weather conditions. The main has three sets of reef points, drops into lazyjacks and can then be zipped up into its sailbag. The genoa is large. I had a tapered line added to the luff by North Sails which enables it to hold its shape well even when furled down substantially. The storm sail has been used only once. The dinghy is rated for 5 adults and with its inflatable keel will plane with 2 or maybe 3 adults aboard. The new davits are very convenient for storing and launching the dinghy, although for a blue water cruise I would still store it rolled up on deck or in one of the cockpit lockers. The boat sails well. Properly balanced, it will sail itself into the wind better with the autopilot on standby than engaged. The interior is lovely and very comfortable. The aft owner's cabin is pretty luxurious. In adding equipment, I made a serious effort to consult independent sources such as Practical Sailor before deciding what to get. Quality, not cost, was my guideline on items such as the SSB radio, life raft, storm anchor and spare pump. This Daniel Andrieu design was one of Sail magazine's top 10 new designs in 2001. Happy Destiny, in 2004, retained that design, but with upgraded electronics and a 75 hp Yanmar replacing the 56hp standard on earlier models. I like the design because it provides great interior space and light, but still has lovely sailboat lines. She is kept on the Middle River, just outside of Baltimore. $234500, 7033430358
