Samson Center Cockpit ketch - she was stolen and robbed of most her equipment in March 2008. The thieves allowed the boat to drift into shallow water, and when the tide went down the boat was on her side so that water came in through an open portlight. Saltwater damaged most of the mahogany veneer, all of the electrical wiring (which was hot at the time) and the engine. The engine is in the process of being rebuilt. The boat was found several hours later and the owner pumped out the saltwater and returned her to the mooring. Most of the damage has been cleaned up, but the boat need significant interior work to be completed. The rigging, hull, and sails are all in excellent shape. The interior finishings on the boat will need to be redone.This boat has a Ferralite core, different from Ferro-cement, water does not migrate in Ferralite and it does not break down like Ferrocement. Price drastically reduced, the owner is ready to get rid of this boat. The boat was recently stolen and robbed of some equipment. The boat sustained some water damage when she was stolen.
