SELLER DESCRIPTION

Offshore cruising sailboat to design of Dudley Dix, professionally built of steel by Hout Bay Yachts, a South African yard adjacent to the designer's studio, that constructed nearly two dozen of Dix's world cruisers. She's a voluminous boat, with full ends for great accommodation-space, with modern cruiser's underbody (long-chord finkeel and skeg-hung rudder) and a large sail area on double-spreader mast. Proper rugged steel construction; hull interior fully epoxy-coated, and rust-free. High-quality equippage (Anderson winches, Selden boom) and recent updating (sails re-cut by Carol Hasse, upgraded rigging details by Port Townsend Rigging) make her fully functional now; current owner has just upgraded all wiring, removed and re-installed engine, and is partway thru a total re-fit especially including cosmetic interior detailing/finishing. GREAT VALUE for the discerning knowledgeable buyer that wants the safety of modern steel construction for his family's next offshore adventure! Call for appointment to see.
