Accomodations:
The Shannon 39 interior layout features a large v-berth which serves as the owner's stateroom. It is equipped with custom storage lockers and hanging locker. Aft of the v-berth are hanging lockers and then the main salon with a centerline drop leaf dining table, an L-shaped settee to starboard that converts to a queen berth and a single settee to port with a fold down pilot berth above and storage behind. Berths in the main cabin have lee-cloths. The nav station area is on the port side and has a custom slotted storage bin with navigator's seat and table. To starboard is the galley. The head and shower are aft of the nav station on the port side. Her classic lovely interior is finished in the Hereshoff style with a combination of teak trim and white laminant which gives a light and airy feel. Galley:
The well-laid out galley is to starboard in a U-shaped pattern with large stainless steel sinks facing forward with storage below and outboard. The stove is along the side with 3 storage lockers behind and custom racks for glasses and plates. The icebox is large with access from the top and the front with more storage above. Deck and Hull Equipment:
The hull of the Shannon is hand laid composite fiberglass with an Airex core in the vinyl ester resin and bi axial laminates. The 39 has a unique, lockable electronics box mounted in the cabin bulkhead to starboard of the companionway.
