Accomodations:
"Half Moon" is a super clean, very well equipped, 42 Catalina with the most desirable 2 cabin layout that came from the Great Lakes originally, has been recently to the Bahamas and is ready to go again. Starting fully forward below decks is the master head with the large shower area with a teak shower grate and a large opening hatch above for ventilation. Aft is a single sink with hot & cold pressure water and storage under. Night lighting is provided by two 12v lights. Aft is the master stateroom with its pullman style queen berth to port and ample storage to starboard. There is drawer storage under the berth as well as to starboard. To starboard are two hanging lockers with removable shelves, and a padded dressing seat. There are two opening hatches and four opening ports plus two 12v fans for ventilation. Night lighting is provided by two 12v LED lights providing ample light with very low power consumption. Aft is the main salon with the navigation station immediatley to starboard. Positioned there are the stereo, VHF radio, B&G instrumentation repeaters, and swing out seat a teak lift top chart table. Continuing aft to starboard is a settee with storage under and the radar display and electrical panel along the hullside. Further aft is the guest/day head and the guest stateroom. Across the main salon to port is the super large "Half Moon" shaped teak dinning table with seating for six or more, and storage under. Along the hullside is a shelf with book storage at either end. The galley is next aft to port with a double deep stainless steel sink, dry food storage bin (which could be converted for additional refrigerated space as it is insulated). There is a propane stove, microwave oven, drawer storage, and the refrigerated icebox area. Further aft to port is access to a large storage pantry that is also accessable from the cockpit. Ventilation is provided to the main salon by 5 opening hatches (with hinged screens) , two opening ports and a 12v fan. There are 12v lights(one an LED), and two beautiful brass 12v wall lamps. The varnished teak and holly sole adds another touch of class and beauty to the main salon area. Aft to starboard is the guest head featuring a manual marine toilet, sink and hot and cold pressure water, a mirrored storage cabinet, drawers and an opening hatch overhead for ventilation. This head is accessed from a door to the main salon or a door the the guest cabin. The guest cabin features a full size berth, four drawers and a hanging locker. There is an opening hatch for ventilation and two opening ports. There is 12v lighting (one an LED) and a teak and holly sole. Up four steps is the large, spacious and confortable cockpit.
