Accomodations:
Aft to starboard, is a cabin fitted with single upper and lower berths. A storage locker inboard and forward. To port is a settee. Aft is a companionway. To port is the head fitted with a marine toilet, sink, cabinets and a full shower stall. Aft is a bulkhead and companionway steps leading up to the pilot house/salon. The salon is fitted with a navigation station and chart table to starboard aft. A dining table is forward to starboard with a bench seat. To port is a settee with storage outboard. Forward is a helm station fitted with engine controls gauges and wheel steering. Aft to port are companionway steps leading up to the aft deck and aft helm station. Below the pilot house deck is the engine space. The engine space is fitted with the main engine, reduction gear, batteries and bilge pump. Aft is a bulkhead and a short companionway to the after cabin. To starboard is combination washer/dryer, storage lockers and cabinets. Further aft is the after cabin fitted with a double berth, pilot berths port and starboard and storage lockers and spaces. Aft to starboard is the after head fitted with a Bemis marine toilet, a portable toilet, sink and storage cabinets.
Galley:
To starboard is the galley is fitted with a gimbaled, propane, Princess Optimus three burner stove/oven and GE microwave. Sink, Kenmore refrigerator, and storage cabinets.
Electonics and Navigational Gear:
The helm is station is fitted with a destroyer wheel steering, compass, brackets for navigation and communications equipment. SBE M255 VHF radio.
Electrical System:
Four 12v DC Heavy Duty Marine Deep Cycle batteries blocked and braced. ProMariner Dura 30 amp charger. 30 amp shorepower connection. 3 way cut off switch. One Rule bilge pump 2500. 13" RCA Television and VCR. AMFM cassette radio.
Deck and Hull Equipment:
Forward and below deck is the chain locker with estimated 400' of 1/2" galvanized chain. On Deck and forward the vessel is fitted with a bow sprit. A bow pulpit is fitted to the bow sprit walking boards. The anchor is at the stern with anchor chain leading aft to a winch to a chain pipe to the chain locker. Wilbo windlass single speed with 100 pound plow anchor. Hanked to the forestay is the foresail and cover. Aft is a flush deck leading aft to the pilot/house salon coach roof. Two hatches to port and one to starboard aft. Club footed jib is hanked to the intermediate jib stay. Aft on the formast is the main sail and boom. Coach roof has storage lockers port and starboard. The pilothouse is fitted with lexan windows forward and bronze port holes to port and starboard. Aft of the helm station is fitted with the "C" bench seating. The helm is fitted with a fiberglass hard top and soft canvas curtains around. The aft deck is fitted with hatches and life rail. The mizzen mast is stepped to the after coach roof with a king post to the keel. The mizzen sail is fitted to a boom and extends aft over the stern. Aft of the stern is a large platform fitted to the transom and supported with brackets. The double aft stays are fitted to the platform. The masts are fitted with upper and lower spreaders. Heavy stainless steel chain plates are secured to the hull. Vessel is painted white and trimmed with wood.
Additional Equipment:
Ferro-Cement reinforced with steel bar constructed professionally by George J. Jackson in Wilmington, California USA. Hull is reportedly and shown in construction pictures to be constructed of three layers of 19 gauge, 1/2" square weld mesh wire, supported by 1/4" horizontal rebar on 2" centers and 3/16" rebar fitted diagonally on 3" centers. Thence three layers of 1/2" square weld mesh wire tied or welded in place. The hull was then plastered with "type V" cement, both internally and externally. The cement was mixed with a 2 to 1 ratio of washed sand 16-20-30-60 grit. Pozzolon and chromium trioxide were used as additives. Estimated thickness of 1-1/2" to 3" inches. Decks are beamed timber with "Ferro-Lite" over plywood. Bulkheads are all marine grade plywood/veneer. The vessel has a soft chine keel with ferro cement and iron ballast. 3 blade bronze 19" diameter x22" pitch. 1 1/2" propeller shaft of steel. Rudder is wood sheathed with fiberglass and hung by pintels to the transom. Last hauled out and maintenance reported 2003 in Charleston Oregon. Wheel Steering is hydraulic to rudder. Powersurvivor desalinator. Dingy is Achilles Hard Floor Heavy Vinyl Rubber, 10' with Johnson 4.5 hp.
