1982 HILBURN Houseboat, This houseboat named Isle of the Eagle is in well above average condition for a 1982 boat. The present owner has spent a great deal of money eliminating problems other houseboats of this vintage have. In 2003 the bottom was completely re-plated with new metal. In this process both sides of the new metal plates were epoxied prior to welding. Than the outside was re-epoxied prior to a applying a heavy coating of cold tar. At the same time, both engines and generator were pulled and this aft compartment was reinforced and two coats of epoxy applied. In addition to the bottom, both the fresh water and waste holding tanks have been replaced, a new macerator installed, new shift and throttle cables for both helms installed along with a new bimini and mooring cover. With a large front and aft deck along with an upper deck and fly bridge, Isle of the Eagle can entertain a large number of friends and family. Powered with twin Volvo six cylinder I/O s generating 350 HP, Isle of the Eagle will take you to your favorite beach at a comfortable cruise of 10 MPH. Once there, start the 7.5 KW Generator, turn on the two air conditioning systems and relax. Compare this boat to other houseboats of a similar age and price and she will stand on top. Accomodations:
You enter the salon / lower helm via a sliding glass door off the front deck. Including the dinette area, the helm and hide a bed, the salon appears very roomy. Part of this roominess is the full service galley featuring a (3) Burner Stove with Oven, Full Size Fridge with Freezer and Double SS Sink is on the same level of the salon. Beyond the galley down a couple of steps is the head with separate stand up shower and a nicely laid out stateroom with built in dresser, double sliding door hanging locker and a queen size bed. In addition, there is a large sliding glass window which provides great access to the aft deck. The inside accommodations are well apportioned and give off a very appealing and comfortable feel.
