Accomodations:
A walk through the cabin demonstrates the importance of first-class design and attention to human proportions. It's not so much the way the interior looks as the way everything, including hand-holds and elbow room, seems to be just in the right spot. This is a cabin that can be lived in even though it has only the basic elements of a standard interior for a 36-footer. The owners' quarters consist of a spacious V-berth forward, with plenty of room at the bow end for two sets of feet. The filler provides generous shoulder-to-shoulder space, and a door insures privacy. Storage outboard is abundant, and cedar-lined hanging lockers afford space to separate foul weather gear from street clothes. Best yet is the head compartment. With its wide door, even the most "beefy" crew member will fit inside, and once there, won't feel cramped. The vanity and shower have hot and cold pressure water and storage is ample. In the main salon, the starboard settee provides comfortable seating for meals at the drop-leaf table, and then expands to form a double berth for sleeping. Additional berths are available via the port settee and a starboard quarter-berth. Custom storage space has been fitted behind the port settee's backrest, which lifts up to reveal two long horizontal shelves. The backrest can be secured in the raised position for removal of stored items.
Galley:
This is a very workable, spic-n-span galley, and low-maintenance to boot. A "spill-over" 12-volt freezer and refrigerator, with separate compartment openings, insures that you'll have ice whenever you want it. There's a microwave, tucked under the companionway, a large single stainless steel sink on the centerline with a high arched spigot (with water filter) for cleaning larger pots and pans, and a full-size propane three-burner stove and oven. There's also a top-loading storage bin for dry goods, and shelving for dinnerware.

The virtues of the sweet sailing CS 36 are not well known south of the border; it s one of those fine Canadian-built boats that seems to have fallen off the radar screen for many American used boat buyers. The CS 36 is a high-quality, versatile boat with a proud pedigree. Designed by Raymond Wall, who was for many years the chief designer and engineer for the venerable English firm of Camper & Nicholson. Unlike other modern boats of the time that seem woefully outdated today, the 36 is still a handsome boat a sure sign of sound original design work. Surrounded by a solid fiberglass hull and top quality constuction, you will find a well-thought out, well-equipped, and well-maintained go-anywhere cruiser.
