The deck beams are varnished giving the giving atmosphere of a traditional wooden yacht. From Foreward: the chain locker is huge. Divided in 2 sections, chains each side. Access through double doors large enough for shoulders for stowing chains and fenders. Moving aft, the large fwd V berth is new. Strong lockers and shelves of 1a?? The V berth cushions are new 2005 of soft Sunbrella to handle wet sails etc. Under is a large specially designed locker which opens up full size to handle wet ropes and sails etc. Otherwise this is a very comfortable well ventilated private cabin. Moving aft, Up two steps and into the Main saloon, varnished teak and holly floor has a hatch to the bilges. We call it the a??ships holda??. It is deep and we stow a lot of deck gear and spares in there. The 120volt water heater is secured there. Also the 2 fresh water tanks and the 2 diesel tanks. Various plumbing items, the pressure water pump, the domestic batteries are raised up on a box across the deep bilges. The companionway steps lift up and lash into the deckhead allowing one to work on the seacock strainers and check the batteries. The teak dining table is to stb and the galley is to port. The owner has cut out and modified the lockers under the saloon L seat and behind the back rest to create more storage. A sliding drinks cabinet pulls out to form a T as part of the galley. There are hatches each side of the companionway under the dodger. To stb, moving aft into the stb passage, the head. All varnished for ease of cleaning. SELLER DESCRIPTION

1980 TAIWAN SHIPYARDS Hardin, The Yacht is an elegant excellent size cruising yacht. She is not slow. We often make passages averaging 6 to 7 knots. She has all the right gear one expects to find on a big spacious cruising 45 ft ketch these days. She handles well under power and under sail. She is a delight at anchor. Steady as a rock. Big airy cabins and saloon down below. The cockpit seats are larger than most bunks and very comfortable to sleep on. The canvas dodger and bimini offers good protection and comfort underway or at anchor. Winches and sheet leads have been modified by the owner to make her manageable by a couple or by the one person on watch at the helm. Her ketch rig is handy and the owner has gone to great lengths to trim the vessel. Now she is so well balanced we often steer by trimming the sails and switching off the autohelm for long hours. Saving precious fuel, energy and generator running hours. Her combination off long keel and hydraulic steering keep her track right on course. The Yacht is in constant use by her live-aboard owners. She can be made ready for sea in the matter of a few hours. There is always something to do on a yacht of course but the Yacht does not require months of work after you buy her. She does not need thousands of dollars spent on her to make her seaworthy. She is clean and tidy and most of the gear is recent as the inventory reflects. She gets admiring comments from many everywhere she goes. Your capital investment is protected. The Yacht is insured by one of the top European brokers. The price is set at a practical realistic figure to attract serious buyers. The new owners will get many hours of schooling to ensure they benefit the most.
