Accomodations:
From the dock you'll instantly admire the sweeping sheerline and rugged construction. Stepping aboard the side deck you notice the heavy bulwarks, huge scuppers, bronze portlights and gleaming brightwork. Large Samson posts and secure pulpit grace the bowsprit. Roller furling helps to tame the genoa and the staysail is self tacking. Permanently mounted mast steps ease the trip up the mast when needed and lazy jacks aid help the mainsail stack onto the boom. The curved cockpit yields good reach of the tiller and winches. The tall coamings provide good back support and protection from water on deck. There's a rail mounted charcoal grill and cutting board. A clever removable panel in the cockpit sole makes for easy access to the engine compartment. The depth sounder and knot meter are mounted on the bulkhead in easy view of the helm. Reliable stern mounted Monitor self-steering gear gives the helmsman a break from manning the tiller. As you descend the companionway steps, you are greeted with the warm glow of gorgeous hand crafted teak throughout the cabin. The u-shaped galley is to port with a Force 10 three burner range with oven and cutting board overlay. A custom propane tank storage cabinet is mounted in a lazarette. There's a double well stainless sink, good sized ice box and storage. In fact, you'll be amazed at the amount of cleverly designed stowage throughout this boat. To starboard are additional cabinets, cubbies and drawers adjoining the stand up nav table.Stepping forward, there's a full length settee to starboard and to port a pullman double. Both are equipped for lee cloths and stage below. The dinette folds out or away as needed. The cabin feels light and roomy thanks to eight opening ports, 2 overhead dorades and large hatch forward.Just forward to port is the standup shower, manual flush toilet, sink and vanity. A double v-berth with drawers below and hanging locker rounds out the accommodations for 5.In summary, you are aboard a vessel whose classic design, overbuilt construction and capable seaworthiness will continue to serve her owners for many more years to come.
