The Tartan Ten is one of the most popular one-design racer-cruiser boats ever built. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, she is a fractional sloop rig with a fin keel and spade rudder; ready for a fast, dry race. When she is not being raced, the flat deck and large cockpit make for perfect day sailing. "Hot Knots" has seen upgrades such as full North sail complement in 2002, rebuilt Farymann diesel in 2003 and new Awlgrip hull in 2004. Whether the weekend brings some super fun daysailing/cruising or a need for speed around the buoys; this boat will fit the bill!

Accomodations:
Accommodations are in keeping with the theme of the boat, as outlined in the sales brochure; "a sprint boat with accommodations for overnight offshore racing and weekend cruising". Four root berths fore and aft. Padded V-berth with portable head located below the split. Headroom over the centers of the cabin provided by a folding dodger above. Stainless sink with manual pump and permanent 19 gal. water tank. 2-burner stove.

Garmin 128 GPS. Signet Depth/Speed. Standard VHF. Marine CD stereo with waterproof speakers.

Deck and Hull Equipment:
"The deck of the Tartan Ten is neat and clean, with plenty of stoppers to allow winches to do several jobs. The one-design jib sheets to the forward track while the 150% genoa lead to the after track. Above right, the dodger "tent" over the companionway is held up by the grab rails. The large open cockpit and clean deck are functional and comfortable." Fractional keel-stepped rig with single spreaders. Backstay adjuster and runners. Barient 23 self-tailing winches. Lines lead aft to stoppers.
