SELLER DESCRIPTION

A beautiful Herreshoff designed sailing yacht in impeccable condition. The design for this boat originated from Herreshoff's "Golden Ball" design. Herreshoff modified this design for the owner to sail around the world following the trade routes. He wished to include tandem centerboards, the new hood roller furling main and mizzen masts, twin diesels, 6800 LBS of extra external lead ballast, and a slight change in the cabin layout.She was built by Allan Vaitses, a well-known New England builder and author of several Fiberglass Boat-Building books. The current owner is the 2nd owner. He has owned her for 20 years and has constantly rebuilt and upgraded her so that she is currently in excellent condition.
