Accomodations:
Ballerina is a yachtsman s dream with accommodations below that will keep the Admiral happy! As you come down the companionway you will immediately admire the abundant teak and quality craftsmanship you just don t find in boats these days. She has the E type two-cabin layout with the spacious galley immediately to port which is much more desirable than the galley forward model when preparing meals for the crew underway. The galley features large counter top inserts over the sink and lots of room for food storage. Opposite to starboard is the navigation station with electronics that swing out to be viewed from the cockpit and a quarter berth just aft. Moving forward, the elegant U shaped dinette is to port and a large settee is opposite to starboard with lots of storage behind. The dinette and settee cushions have both been recently replaced and the salon features a bulkhead mounted Force 10 kerosene heater. As you move forward, the head is to port and entry can be gained from either the salon or the forward stateroom. There is an opening port in the head and ample room to shower for a vessel of her kind. Opposite the head to starboard is a large hanging locker in the salon. The master stateroom is forward and features a large V berth and seat that has an insert to enlarge the sleeping area, another hanging locker and lots of drawer and shelf storage. The salon and forward stateroom each have an overhead hatch/skylight with heavy plexiglass laid in a double hinged teak frame. Two stainless steel open ports have been added to the salon and there are 4 large Dorade vents and 2 smaller cowl vents that provide plenty of ventilation down below.

SELLER DESCRIPTION

Ballerina is the second to last Phillip Rhodes designed Offshore 40 built by Cheoy Lee and her original owner was present during construction. Her yawl rig provides 750 sq. ft. of sail area and many options for the cruising sailor underway. This vessel was constructed with a thick fiberglass hull, deck and cabin trunk molded to Lloyd's specifications and covered with teak to give the appearance of a classic wooden boat. An out-of-state move has forced the sale of this well maintained vessel. If you are in the market for blue water sailboat and want to hold you head up high at the yacht club bar, please take a moment to check out the full specs of this fine vessel.
