Accomodations:
Rain Tree is a 1974 Cheoy Lee Mid-shipman 36 ketch designed by Bill Luders. She is ready to cruise anywhere in comfort. She has been under going a restoration and is almost complete. This boat is completely equipped for cruising, in the water, and ready to be sailed. The exterior wood, main mast and mast wiring, deck, topsides, and bottom still need to be refinished. Everything else is done.Accommodations Down below is in very good condition with all new custom cushions. Forward is the chain locker. The V berth has drawers, lockers, filler cushion, and sail locker under. Aft of the forward cabin are 2 hanging lockers and a full head w/ shower. The main cabin has a full galley w/ double sinks and huge ice box w/ refrigeration. The U shaped dinette is opposite and seats 4-6 people. The table drops down and there is a filler cushion to make a double berth. The cockpit is in the center and has 2 large lockers to access all systems below. You can actually sit comfortably to service everything with room to spare. There is also a built in ice box in the cockpit. A full bimini with fold out extension keeps you in the shade (2007). The bimini has full plastic snap on side curtains. The aft cabin has a large hanging locker, plenty of storage, queen size berth, and full size private head w/ shower.
Electrical System:
30 amp shore power, 3 bank automatic charger, 2 batteries w/ switch, Ray Marine auto pilot 4000+ MK2 (2006), compass, Standard Horizon knot and depth meter, Stereo/CD w/ speakers in cockpit and down below, Icom VHF w/ antenna on mizzen, 12 volt refrigeration, hot water heater operates on dockside and engine heat exchanger, 700 watt inverter wired independently.
Deck and Hull Equipment:
Ground TackleNew manual Simpson Lawrence (last one on earth) windlass w/ custom built teak sprit and roller (2007), 35 lb. CQR w/ 40 proof coil and 300 5/8 rode, 25 lb. danforth w/ rode, 2- 17 lb. danforth w/ rodes. The engine is a Yanmar 39 hp diesel with a drive saver, new shaft, and prop.The installation was finished in April, 2006 and is still under warranty. There are 265 hours on the engine. It pushes the boat at 6 knots cruising and 71/2 knots full.
Additional Equipment:
Rigging and Sails All standing rigging is excellent and over sized SS wire w/ sta-lock terminals. Halyards, sheets, topping lift, blocks, etc. are all new (06' 07'). Main sail has 1 set of deep slab reefs and is in good condition w/ cover. Mizzen mast was refinished and looks like new (2006). Mizzen sail is in good condition w/ cover. There are 5 head sails; storm jib, spinnaker in new sock, yankee jib (very heavy), 150% genoa, and 170% light weight genoa. All jibs are excellent.
