Accomodations:
From the port side of the helm deck in front of the companion seating enter the Salon and down 2 steps. There is a large L-Shaped Settee to starboard with all new cushions and fabric (great colors and pattern). Five stowage drawers beneath all salon seating, there is also access through top hatches to these area too. You will want to take special note of the large operational flanking deckhouse windows at port and starboard with screens. Lots of natural light floods the salon. There are new Cellular blinds throughout the vessel - they rise from the bottom or lower from the top of the blind. The blinds are great for cutting down the light; as well as, adding privacy. Everything also has a fresh coat of paint. ** Mid Cabin Salon * Captains Quarters /V-Berth (Sleeps 2) * Sleeps 2 - A midships salon with double accommodations for 2 guests * Electric Head with Shower and AC To the portside there are the new Huckins mechanical gauges flush mounted near the steps. There are lots of cabinets along the portside below the windows. There is some great engineering on the chart stowage cabinet that pulls out from the portside. When it is pushed back it folds into the gunwale. There are 4 stowage cabinets to port that drop back into the gunwale and a cool Chart table next to the chart stowage. Approximately 8 steps from the Salon entry forward is a 3 1/2' x 2' counter that serves as a pass through from the Galley to the Salon. Moving forward slightly off center to starboard and down two steps - you are in the Galley. It lies to the portside and is U-Shaped. Opening a door to the starboard across the companionway is the Head and Shower. Head AC has been added and most of the fixtures were replaced with nickel accessories. Above the vanity is flourescent lighting. All new teak flooring with custom bound edge carpet over it. Forward and through a bulkhead with private door is the Captains Quarters. The Galley is situated between the Salon and the Captains Quarter - it has a collapsible door for the pass through. With the pass through closed and the Galley door closed, this makes for two separate cabins with plenty of overnight privacy (very nice feature from the designer). ** Mid Cabin Salon * Captains Quarters /V-Berth (Sleeps 2)* Sleeps 2 - A midships salon with double accommodations for 2 guests * Electric Head with Shower and AC * Head has a "Y" valve and an 18 gallon holding tank

OTHER FEATURES: Working very hard to keep the vessel as original as possible including the functional details. There are many hidden updates that actually make her better than new in 1966. All of the existing wiring and fixtures were completely removed and replaced with florescent 2008 hardware throughout, although the original Huckins light lenses are original. The engines were replaced with 1997 330 Cummins 6BTA's with only 749 original hours since new. This known for performance hull with the added Cummins power puts her in a class of her own for speed and efficiency. Performance at cruise is 20 Knots @ 2000 RPM delivering approximate efficiency of 18/20 gallons per hour - very nice for a 24,000 lbs. vessel. Sea keeping and handling is unbelievable for this 1966 vintage. If you should decide to get up and move she will push at 27 Knots @ 2600 RPM - Redline is @ 2800. The owner believes in holding the throttles back reasonably at cruise. "Bucktide" is now equipped with a new 4 KW Westerbeke generator and a nearly new CruiseAir 12,000 BTU heating and air conditioning unit; which serves the Helm, Salon, Head and Captains quarters. There is a 2,400-Watt inverter to run everything but the Air Conditioning. The boat was stripped of most all of the components above and below deck and completely painted inside and out. As you look throughout the vessel there are too many new items and upgrades - it is almost impossible to take them all in. The struts, stainless steel shafts and cutlass were replaced. The Rudders were reconditioned. The exterior surfaces received new awlgrip paint and non-skid plus new bottom paint. The Brightwork areas were refinished and all of the window frames were stripped and repainted. All of the deck hatches were refashioned and fit with new stainless steel edging. All other upholstery is updated - inside and out. Below decks much was stripped, reinforced, cleaned and new epoxy sealers applied in all exposed areas - an overkill by factory standards. All new wiring and pumps. Just some of the upgrades are reinforced stringers, all new wiring throughout, up to date upholstery, new flexteak like floor covering and new carpet. Some new glass, cellular blinds and custom fabrics. New electronics, new helm and gauges and the list just does not stop. This Huckins is one beautiful and tastefully finished Classic custom! The owner of this vessel has more money and hard work in it than he and his team will ever get out of it but he is very proud of the boat and happy to be able to have put another piece of history back on the water. "Bucktide" is a one of a kind work of art! The current owner grew up in the marina business and had owned a marina since 1955 until recently.
Additional Equipment:
This vessel will draw plenty of looks but she's no weak platform she's as new as they come and up for the task at hand. What a beautiful vessel! This is a turnkey Sportsman ready for your enjoyment! ** 2 Fenders * No Lines * Bottom Painted: Blue ablative. The bottom was sanded down to the fiberglass over the wood and new West Systems epoxy coating was added, then painted with ablative paint. * Hull Color: White * Canvas Color: White * Wetbar ** BROKERS COMMENTS: This vessel is shown by appointment only, Please qualified prospective Buyers only!

From her factory cold-molded, fiberglass over very tough double diagonal mahogany planked hull. This Huckins Fairform Flyer Sportsman is truly a Classic restoration in every respected. The current and second owner of the vessel has brought her back very close to how she was when she was first launched. She looks like a 1966; but she is has been upgraded to 2008 standards - All without sacrificing the Huckins interior and exterior original appeal. This vessel is the third Huckins and one of many other vessels the owner has served as hands on production manager from start to finish.
