1941 CUSTOM Motorsailer/Ketch, Highly-motivated seller! Bring offers! SUNDANCER provides an incredibly light, airy and comfortable interior in a solidly-built, proven hull. She is a true classic built of Lapacho from the teak family which is three times harder than Burmese teak, providing the best of both worlds: maximizing the pluses and minimizing the minuses of a wooden hull. During the late 1980's, she underwent a complete rebuild and has seen continued upgrades and maintenance since that time. The ongoing work includes (in 1996), re-caulking of bottom, inspection of fasteners, rebuilt and improved rudder and steering system, mostly re-wired, re-grooved and topsides Awlgriped. Her exterior and interior wood work is beautifully done. In the words of a notable San Diego boat builder, "In today's dollars, this repair and refit would require 10,000 man hours of labor and at least $100,000 in materials for an estimated total of $730,000 and possibly more."
